Hello everyone! I recently had the urge to try something cheap from eBay and after browsing the web for some ideas, I decided to try the Pro 88 Warm Eyeshadow Palette. This appeared to be very similar to the Coastal Scents Warm 88 Palette but it was only $13 so I decided to give it a go.
The palette has a ton of neutral colors, as well as some pops of color which include some blue and pink tones. There are many different shades of brown, beige, taupe, and yellow/orange-based nudes. The entire palette measures around 9in. x 6.5 in. and the eyeshadow pots are a little bit larger than a dime. There seem to be a few duplicate colors though so this should last me a while.
As for pigmentation, some colors are definitely more pigmented than others. The texture of these eyeshadows are definitely on the more powdery side. I would best compare them to Wet & Wild eyeshadows which are not my favorite but I think I'll be able to make it work. They would definitely look better over a primer.
And as far as finish goes, there are many shimmer and matte finish eyeshadows for whatever look you are going for. You can create all kinds of daytime and nighttime looks with all the colors available. There are also plenty of highlight shades and darker shades for a more intense look.
Here are a few swatches of the eyeshadows. I used the sponge applicators they provided and swatched them on my forearm with no primer.
I haven't yet used this on my eyes yet but I'll definitely be posting about it and include one of the looks I come up with. So far, I think this may be worth the $13 I paid for it but I'll know better once I put it to use. Have you tried anything on eBay like this?

Beauty UK Day To Night Eyeshadow Swatches + EOTD's
Hey there :) I finally received my my Beauty UK Day To Night Eyeshadow palette! I ordered it from eBay and it shipped from the UK! I saw a post about this palette on someone's blog and decided I needed the hot pink of it. Here's a picture of the palette.
White- shimmery shear white, best used for highlighting
Peach- shimmery peach, works really well for blending
Light green- really pretty shimmery night green
Blue- matte bright blue, not completely opaque
Light pink- matte light pink
Black- matte opaque black, good for eyeliner or a deep crease
Brown- very rich shimmery brown
Plum- beautiful shade of shimmery plum, possibly my favorite!
Violet- deep, matte violet
Hot pink- highly pigmented and matte, the reason I bought the palette
And for the swatches.... I used a liner brush to apply these.
The top row is definitely more translucent while the bottom row is more opaque. All of these colors are amazing, blend well, and last a long time! I tried a couple of looks for fun today!
Here's my daytime look! I used the peach on the lid and the plum in the crease.
And now for the fun part! I've been dying to try a nighttime smoky hot pink look! I used hot pink on the lid, plum in the crease, black to extend the crease, and peach to blend in the black and add highlight. Please ignore my eyebrows! I have no idea what happened to them =P

EOTD For my date tonight :)
I'm about to go out on a date so I thought I would do my makeup and share it with the world =P This look is one of my favorite looks so it's about time I post it!
It's a champagney silver with dark purple in the crease. I like to finish it off with shadow liner and mascara of course!
|
Here's a closeup!
Electrified by L'Oreal H.I.P. I use the left one all over the lid and the purple in the crease.
My new Nyx Palette called Super Model. I use the black (top right) with an eyeliner brush on the bottom and top as liner.

St. Patty's Day Look!
Whoooo today is St. Patty's day which means lots of green and drinking irish car bombs =P To celebrate, I did my nails and my makeup green!
I also did my makeup green! Sorry for the bad lighting. I did this at night =P
I used one of those single Cover Girl Eyeshadows in Lime green all over the lid (forgot the actual name, sorry!),
L'Oreal H.I.P. eyeshadow duo in Gunmetal. I used the dark green on the outer edge and in the crease. Then I used the brownish green color to extend the crease.
To blend the top part, I used Revlon ColorStay Mineral Finishing powder.
And for liner, I used Maybelline Line Stiletto Liquide Liner
To finish it off, I used my new Day 2 Night mascara!
