Ready for Spring?

This is the look I currently have... and I am in LOOOVE!!

The purple base coat is called Yasmeen by Zoya. I mostly bought it because of the name, but the color is pretty anyways! Its a deep purple with a hot pinkish magenta shimmer in the light!

I also added some pink flowers and some gold glitter to make it more interesting. I finished it off with my new favorite topcoat- Seche Vite! This stuff is amazing. It literally adds an extra thick layer of "nail" and makes them much stronger!

Pink flowers- BloomChrome by Revlon Top Speed Chrome

Glitter topcoat- Golden Enchantment by China Glaze

Flower design- Konad #M57

China Glaze- Anchors Away! French manicure!

I usually don't do your traditional French manicure but I had an interview and didn't want to scare the lady away with my normally crazy nails -_____-

Anyways, I used a couple colors from China Glaze's Anchors Away collection- Knotty and White cap.

I added flowers to make it a little less traditional. Later on, I'll try to add some swatches of Knotty and White Cap so you know what they look like.

Sister's Vday look

I wasn't the only one excited with Konad! My sister has always wanted leopard print nails so I gave her a nice look to match her outfit.

Red base- Chi- Its 5 O'Clock Somewhere

Gold spots- Chine Glaze- Midnight Kiss

Leopard print- Konad #M57

She wore a leopard print dress with red heels so this went perfectly :-)

OMG KONAD!!

So one of the best investments I have ever made was my Konad purchase!

If you don't know what Konad is, it's a nail polish stamping system! They have many designs to choose from and you can use any nail polish for your stamp design. They have special nail polish for stamping as well that gives nice, thick results.

Want to see how it works? Go to Wow Wow Nails' Post.

You can buy Konad at WowSoCool.com or any authorized retailer on Ebay.

Anyways, this look is the one I chose for Valentines Day! I didn't want to do anything to heartsy-fartsy so I chose zebra print!

I LOVE this look!!!!!

Whoa is that a mermaid?

Wow this is probably one of the most gorgeous colors I own!
This is Charla by Zoya! It's like a mermaidy bluish greenish teal with slight gold flecks.

This picture does not do it justice at all. It shines like crazy in the light! I got a lot of compliments on this one!

I used 2 coats of Charla with my usual Top 2 Bottom Base/Top coat.

Interesting dark green!

This is Edyta by Zoya. This is soooo pretty!
It's a dark forest green that shows gold shimmer in the light. It looks black from a distance.

I did two coats of it for opacity. The formula is nice too- not streaky and goes on thick!

I used Orly Top 2 Bottom as a base and top coat.

OPI Shatter!

So I decided that I'm going to post some of my old nail polish looks to I can catch up and have everything up.

Pink- Orly's Oh Cabana Boy (Two coats)

Black- O.P.I.'s Black Shatter (One coat)

I noticed it's best to do a thick coat rather than a thin coat. You get bigger black chunks and more interesting cracks. You also want to make sure not to layer the black. Make sure to only use one coat!

That was my first experimentation of Black Shatter. Nice look, right?

Au natural?

Okay...maybe I'm not done for the night haha!! I plan on using this blog to show off some of my nail art that I do in my spare time. I will also show some random swatches of colors I haven't used yet!
To start off, here is a picture of my natural nails! I only put a little topcoat on (Seche Vite).

This is one of the main reasons I have never gotten fake nails. I have never paid for a manicure in my entire life! I got a pedicure once and paid about $20 since I wanted art... so not worth it!

When you have nails like these, who needs to waste money at the salon?

First post :D

Hello there! I guess this is my first official post on Blogger... I haven't blogged in years!

Anyways, I'm just doing some homework right now... or trying to haha! This should be a very busy weekend for me. I have 2 tests to prepare for and they're both this week >___< Well, I'm sure I will update this another day. I better go! Bye!
