Hello readers... long time no see! I finally have a chance to update this and just in time for Halloween this weekend! I went to a corn maze a couple of weeks ago and wanted to do some spooky nails so I did glow-in-the-dark bloodspatter :)
I used this tutorial to do the bloodspatter effect, which consisted of dipping a straw into a small puddle of nail polish and blowing directly onto my nails from the other end. It's probably a good idea to play around with the different angles and distances from where you blow the polish from so you get some interesting effects. This was soooo much fun to do! It was probably one of the messiest projects I've done but it was well worth it.
I used:
White- Alpine Snow by OPI
then two coats of Ghoulish Glow by China Glaze
Red- Drastic by China Glaze (near perfect jelly blood red)
And now for the nails... I still have this on almost 2 weeks later =P
And here's the glow effect! You have to "charge" it under the light for a bit but it looks amazing when it glows.
Happy Halloween :)

Busy =/
Hello readers.... it's been forever since I've posted and I apologize. Being a full-time student and having a job are taking a toll on me and I barely have time or energy to do anything. I promise I will update soon... maybe a week or two. I did a recent haul so I will post that up soon, as well as a look or two for Halloween. I will update this whenever I can but it will definitely not be as often as before so I apologize.

Plaid Nails :)
Hey everyone! This will be a short post showing the manis I did on my friends hands and my own hands! We went to the Scottish Highland Games in Pleasanton so we wore plaid and did our nails plaid!
I'm not going to post all the colors but if you want to know what something is, just let me know :) Also, if anyone is interested in a tutorial for this look, I will gladly post one!

Nfu Oh 61 silver holo :)
Hello readers :) Soo a couple weeks ago I received my order of Nfu Oh 61 and Aqua Base which is something I've been after for months now! Before I post pictures of it, I want to tell you all about it :)
When I received the bottle and took it out in the sun, I was slightly terrified and a bit disappointed. There was seriously no holo effect through the bottle! It just looked like a plain old silver to me and I was worried that I received a dud!
I decided that it was probably fine and I was overreacting so I decided to use it. The order of coats I used were Aqua Base, Nfu Oh 61, Aqua Base, Nfu Oh 61, Nfu Oh 61, and Seche Vite topcoat. I've heard mixed reviews about using topcoat... some people say that it dulls the effect and others say that it does nothing to the effect. I decided to give it a shot and if it made it look worse, then i would just redo it.
Now.... application.... oh my! That's all I gotta say. I've heard horror stories about applying this polish. Let me start off with Aqua Base. That's a tricky one on it's own. It's not like other polished where you can apply the next coat when it's halfway dry. No. You have to wait for it to completely dry before applying another coat. If you don't, the brush drags the below layer and makes it very chunky. So that's just one issue I had. As for Nfu Oh 61 itself, I'm not sure if it was chunky or if it was the Aqua Base that was the problem. If you do a couple thin coats of Nfu Oh 61 then you will get nice coverage and it will hide the majority of the lumps.
Now I just have a bit more talking to do and then I can show you the pictures ;-) At this point, you probably already scrolled down and looked lol. Indoors, this color just looks like a simple but really nice metallic silver. Now getting in the sun is the fun part. When you hold out your hands in the sun, all you see is a beautiful spectrum of linear rainbow colors. I really don't need to say much else so here are the pics :-) This lasted me about a week with no chipping and some wear at the tips.

Work-appropriate nude look
Hello readers :) I apologize for not posting as much. I've been going through a lot of changes with my normal routine and it's throwing me off from what I'm usually doing =P A couple weeks ago, I got a job interview for a position in parking patrol and ended up getting hired right on the spot and there was only one spot!
Anyways, so I wouldn't scare the guy off with my black and red nails, I did something out of my comfort zone and did something very neutral. The picture below is 3 coats of Knotty by China Glaze, which is a really nice nude with cream shimmer, with one coat of Northern Lights which is a holographic glitter topcoat. As much as I dislike nude manicures, I ended up wearing it for about a week. It shined really nicely in the sun :)

I just placed my order of #61 along with the Aqua base! It's been out of stock for a while and I know many people have been waiting for it so I thought I would give you all a heads up!
If you don't know about this color, it's the most amazing silver holo out there. Do a google search and check it out :P

22nd Birthday :)
Hello everyone! Sorry again for another drought! The past couple of weeks have been very hectic and making a blog past has unfortunately been the last thing on my mind.
Last week was my 22nd birthday and it was seriously the best birthday I've ever had thanks to my amazing friends :) I'm going to start off by showing you my bday manicure and then I will show you the pics from my party and talk about that!
Anyways back to my party! My friends and I had dinner at a restaurant called Opa! in Los Gatos, CA, which is a Greek restaurant. I don't know how I lucked out so much but we ended up having our own private room, complete with our own TV and bathroom! Here's a pic of our group! I'm at the head of the table =P
And now for a pic of my outfit :-)
Then we met up at Mt Charley's down the street for dancing! This is the other group of people we met up with! The girl in the blue has the same birthday as me and we decided to celebrate together :)
Then we ended the night with some shots! Ignore my friend in the background.... he was 10 shots and 2 beers in when we took this pic haha!
Anyways.... best birthday ever!
